MekanOrganiK is the side project of the Belgian industrial percussion band Militia (see Limbolink Militia).

3 musicians of this band are experimenting with mechanical machines, organic elements and objects like sand, stones, water, wood...  even cucumbers and electronic devices to generate their music.

In collaboration with the Bilzen Cultural Board, MekanOrganiK organised the Bilzorganic Festival, featuring several street acts, avant garde music and a street performance by the Yawar group from Genk. MekanOrganiK presented a sound performance with 15 cement mixers, a dance group and film projections on the walls of a school.

As is the case with Militia, the first MekanOrganiK record (a full studio CD in digipack cover) will be released by the Swedish record label Cold Meat Industry.

Title of the CD: "How to Extract Sunlight from Cucumbers", based upon the adventures of Liam Gulliver, from the book "Guliver's Travels" by Jonathan Swift.

The record will be released on a 1000 copies scale.
